Cross Country Results

On Monday, the Girls’ and Boys’ Cross-Country Teams competed against cross-town rival Dag Hammarskjold at Dag. Here are the results of the meet.

Boys’ Cross-Country Results
The Boys’ Cross-Country team suffered their first loss of the season losing to Dag by the score of 37-21 despite having the top runner in the race.

Runners finishing in the top 10 in the race for Moran were:
1st – Andy You
6th – Devin Welch
8th – Owen Hotaling
10th – Bryan Medina

Girls’ Cross-Country Results
The Lady Mustangs of Moran started their season off with a victory trampling over cross-town rival Dag beating them by the score of 20-41. Sixth grader Jenna Wresien had another dominating performance taking first and finishing 1 minute 3 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.

Runners finishing in the top 10 in the race for Moran were:
1st – Jenna Wresien
2nd – Angelika Kotula
4th – Katie Lombino
6th – Janalie Gilhuly
7th – Ava Raffone
8th – Nalysa Nhatavong
9th – Zoey Carim

Cross Country Results

On Friday the girls and boys cross-country teams competed in the Southington Distance Festival. Races were run by grade level and gender. The Runners that finished in the top 15 places in their race for Moran were:

6th Grade – Boys Race (1.25miles) – Total runners 61
12th – Jeremy Crespo

6th Grade – Girls Race (1.25miles) – Total Runners 78
1st – Jenna Wresien – She finished ahead of the second runner by 31 seconds (Incredible!!!!)
5th – Janalie Gilhuly
10th – Tristin Buchanan

7th Grade – Boys Race (1.5miles) – Total Runners 144
8th – Owen Hotaling

8th Grade – Girls Race (2.2miles) – Total Runners 102
9th – Angelika Kotula

Today the Moran cross-country team competes against cross-town rival Dag Hammarskjold at Dag. Good Luck and GO MUSTANGS!!!
