Track & Field
Congratulations to both the girls and boys Track & Field teams that competed in the 9th Annual CT Middle School Track & Field State Championships. The girls team finished 4th in the state out of 32 schools and the boys’ team finished 2nd in the state out of 31 schools. Despite the extreme weather conditions, both the girls and boys athletes from Moran did an outstanding job.
Highlights from the meet:
We have two relay teams that finished first in their event which makes them the fastest relay teams in the State of Connecticut and are your State Champions for those events.

The Girls’ 4×100 meter relay:
Kinsley Wallace, Hayleigh Lagase, Marley Esch, and Katherine Cappetta
NEW SCHOOL RECORDS:
These runners set new school records in their events:
100 meters – Terrence Bogan – 11.88 seconds – finished 2nd
400 meters – Olivia Dubuc – 1:00.33 seconds – finished 3rd
800 meters – Olivia Dubuc – 2:26.21 – finished 2nd

Girls Long Jump – Marley Esch – 3rd
Girls High Jump – Eliana Tolentino – 8th
Girls 4x400m relay – Rylee Masson, Amelia Mansfield, Sarina Kapoor, and Grace Waldron – 7th
Girls 4x800m relay – Rylee Massoni, Karly Martino, Arianna Amodio, and Sarina Kapoor – 6th
