Cross-Country Results

Yesterday the girls’ and Boys’ Cross-Country Teams competed in a tri-meet against Lincoln MS and Washington MS of Meriden on Moran’s course.

Girls’ Cross-Country Results
The Lady Mustangs came back strong from their loss in their last meet by winning the tri- meet shutting out Lincoln MS by the score of 15-50 and beating Washington by the score of 17-46. Leading the pack of Lady Mustangs was Arianna Amodio taking 1st overall followed closely by Angelika Kotula 2nd, Katie Lombino 3rd, Karly Martino took 5th. Alison Kaiser, another 6th grader, took 6th, then Avery Winters 7th and Maya Wresien 8th. Other runners that performed well in the meet were Jaime Koons, Jayna MacKenzie, Hitika Patel, and Samantha Brown.

The girls’ team record has now improved to 3 wins and 2 losses.

Boys Cross-Country Results
The Moran Mustangs trampled their opponent winning the tri-meet and shutting out both Lincoln MS and Washington MS each by the score of 15-50. Leading the herd of Mustangs was Zack Zubeckis in 1st, followed by Evan Caines 2nd, Eamon Burke 3rd, John Cotter 4th, Aaron Kaiser 5th, Stefan Pellerin 6th, and Aaron Mansfield 7th. Other runners for the team that performed well in the meet were Ben Gyulay, Travis Karosi, Noah Koons, Todd Grammatico, Ryan Carmen, Adythia Naturaj, Sal Passante, and Daniel Phoenix.

The boys’ team remains undefeated with a record of 5 wins with no losses.

Congratulations to both team on a great meet! The next meet for both cross-country teams is Monday, away, at the Cheshire Invitational. Good Luck to both teams and GO MUSTANGS!!!

Cross-Country Results

On Saturday both the Girls’ and Boys’ Cross-Country Teams competed at the McGee Invitational. In this Invitational the athletes ran by grade level and gender. It was not team scored If an athlete finished in the top 5 places in their race they got a trophy, if they finished in places 6-20 they received a medal. Moran athletes placing in the top twenty in their respective races are:

Cross-Country Results

Yesterday the Moran Girls’ and Boys’ Cross-Country teams competed against the Kennedy Eagles of Southington in a dual meet.

Girls Cross-Country Results:
The Moran Lady Mustangs suffered their second loss of the season against a strong Kennedy Lady Eagles team by the score of 34 -25. Coming in first for the Lady Mustangs, but 2nd overall was Arianna Amodio followed closely by two up and coming 6th graders Angelika Kotula 4th place and Katie Lombino 5th place then Karly Martino 12th, and 6th grader Alison Kaiser 13th. Other runners that did well in the race were Maya Wresien, Avery Winters, Jayna MacKenzie, Emma Reilly, Marissa Capozzo, and Finnian Dubuc.

The Girls’ team record is now 1 win and 2 losses.

Boys’ Cross-Country Results:
The Moran Mustangs stampeded over the Kennedy Eagles winning by the score of 23-32. Leading all runners in the race and taking 1st place was Eamon Burke followed by Zachary Zubeckis 3rd, Evan Caines 4th, John Cotter 7th, and Aaron Kaiser 8th. Other runners that did well in the race were Stefan Pellerin, Todd Grammatico, Benjamin Gyulay, Travis Karosi, Ryan Carmen, and Aaron Mansfield.

The Boys’ team remains undefeated with a record of 3 wins and no losses. Congratulations on a great victory!

The next meet for both the girls’ and boys’ cross-country teams is this Saturday in the McGee Invitational. It is not a team scored event, but run for individual performance. Good luck to all the runners. GO MUSTANGS!!!
