Boys Basketball Results

The boys’ basketball team won their 4th game in a row yesterday by defeating Depaolo by a score of 58-47 to improve their overall record to 7-1. Despite a slow start and a number of early turnovers which lead to a first-quarter deficit, the boys were able to turn up the defensive intensity, force a number of outside shots and turnovers, and settle into a nice offensive flow. Once again, the boys showed that they are not a one-dimensional team as they had balanced scoring from all the positions. The boys are yet to have the same person lead the team in scoring for two games in a row, which shows just how unselfish they are. The entire varsity squad played valuable minutes and contributed to the comeback win. Congratulations. The boys’ next game is today at Lincoln of Meriden.

The boys’ JV team also managed to win against Depaolo by a score of 16-13 and improved their overall record to 4-3. Despite some sharp-shooting from the Depaolo guards, the Moran boys were able to find holes driving to the basket and assist on some nice layups to pull out the victory.
