Parents/Guardians:

Time seems to fly at the beginning of the school year. Today is our 17th day of school. We have had a fantastic start to our school year. The 6th grade students came in and adjusted beautifully. I think it helped that everyone was able to come in before school started to tour the building and meet their teachers. 7th and 8th grade students have done great as well and are proving to be great role models in our building.

A few reminders as we continue to move forward this year:
After-School Activities = Permission slips will be going home with students this week. Please fill one out and have your student bring it back in as soon as possible. Email me ( JPiacentini@wallingfordschools.org ) if you have any questions. Sessions will begin on October 5th.
PTAC / PTO = Our first meeting was on September 17th. Minutes will soon be posted on our website. Please keep an eye on our website calendar for future dates. Our next meeting will be in November.
Parent Coffees = This is a great opportunity for parents to come in and talk to administration, teachers, and outside agencies with any questions you may have. This year they will be held in the morning and in the evening. Please see our website calendar for dates and times.
PowerSchool Parent Portal = All demographic changes must be made by parents prior to September 30th. Please ensure that we have accurate email addresses as that is our primary means of notification.
Student Principal Advisory Council (SPAC) = I will be inviting students to apply to this group in the coming weeks. This is a great opportunity for Moran students to meet monthly with their Principal. It gives them a direct voice into what is happening in their school. Please look out for the email blast in the coming weeks.

From school closings to news events to announcements, we will be posting on these social media sites on a regular basis…
