Moran Dress Code

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Today was one of the first truly warm days we have had this year, and thus, we had many students sent to the office for dress code. We are working building-wide to ensure consistency in our monitoring of dress code, and greatly appreciate your attention to this at home. As is mentioned in the reminders we have sent home about dress code, there is a lot of research to suggest that students who adhere to a dress code feel better about themselves and do better in school. Though our full dress code is attached, sticking points are listed below for reference:
For boys-
• School-appropriate logos only
• Hats must come off at the door
• Sleeveless jerseys are OK, tank jerseys are not
• Shirts should not excessively reveal chest, belly, back
• Shorts must be pulled all the way up
• Shorts/pants should be free from excessive rips

For girls-
• School-appropriate logos only
• Sleeveless is OK, tank tops are not
• Shirts should not excessively reveal chest, belly, back
• Shorts/skirts must be fingertip length all the way around
• Shorts/pants should be free from excessive rips
• Yoga pants should be covered with a shirt/skirt/shorts that are finger-tip length all the way around

Dress Code

Again, we appreciate your willingness to help us bring out the very best in your student.

With thanks,
Moran Administration

Picnic Table Donations

Parents:

Good afternoon. Moran is looking for donations of one or more of the picnic tables pictured below. We would love to offer our students the option of outdoor seating during lunch waves as the weather permits. Please contact Mr. Piacentini if you know of or have one that is in usable shape. Thank you so much.

Lady Mustang Softball

Your Lady Mustang Softball Team saved their best effort for their last game of the 2015 season yesterday by beating cross town rival Dag 21-0.

The game started as Dag honored all 8th grade players including the Moran Team with flowers. Thank you again Dag.

Each and every player reached base and scored led by our 4 8th graders:

Emily Musso doubled and scored twice

Christiana Amorone was outstanding at second base even throwing out a very fast Dag player from her knees.

Glory Villano reached all four times with 2 singles and a double.

Pitcher Riley Wolcheski, threw a “NO – HITTER” and only allowed 1 walk.

Other highlights included Bella Blasi’s first start and scoring twice, a triple by Sammi Fers, another double by Caitlyn Hunt scoring 3 runs to put the game away.

This was a fantastic season with only 5 losses. Congratulations to the Lady Mustangs and Corey Savenelli for the great job at practice and statistics.
